Champions League Betting:Wednesday 21Nov
Tomorrow evening we have some top quality entertainment in store for us with the big highlight of the evening being Manchester City taking on Spanish giants Real Madrid.
City are in the unenviable position of certain elimination if they fail to beat the Spanish. Mancini has been in a positive mood ahead of Wednesdays clash, but he has several injury problems to deal with first. Gael Clichy is out due to a knock he picked up in the weekends encounter with Aston Villa. Joleon Lescott, James Milner and Micah Richards are all sidelined due to injuries also but the good news is that Samir Nasri and Jack Rodwell are match fit again.
Madrid have only Higuain and Marcelo out so Mourinho will be able to choose from a near complete squad.
Last time out Man City threw away a 2-goal lead only for Madrid to score 3 in a row and win 2-3. If the Manchester side have not learned their lesson from that match and after similar performances against Ajax, then I can see them saying goodbye to any Champions League hope they might still have. Christiano Ronaldo has publicly stated that he would like to get Madrid’s qualification spot secure as soon as possible and you can be sure that Mourinho will be going all out to take the three points here. Ronaldo is 1.60 with Unibet to score anytime, remember he is no stranger to this stadium having scored 4 times here with former club Manchester Utd. I can see City waking up in this match, there is no doubt in my mind that they have a team that can win this one but whether they can contain the awesome attacking power of Madrid, well that’s another question.
Expect goals here. These teams are not defensively set up and with so much riding on this result I can see Mancini pushing his men forward and looking to hit the net as many times as possible. Madrid as we all know, can score at will so the bet is the over 3.5 goals in this one.
Bet on over 3.5 goals in Manchester City v Real Madrid @ 2.25 with Unibet.
